Garment Damage Policy
Stitch Express Alterations & Dry Cleaning follow the standards and policies set by the Textile Services Association (TSA). We exercise the utmost care when we clean and process your garments. The care label of each garment is always checked for any special instructions and cleaned as per the instructions provided on the label.
However, we cannot accept responsibility for any defects or inherent weaknesses in garments which may result in tears or the development of small holes in fabrics that are not apparent prior to processing. In the cleaning process, we cannot guarantee against colour loss, colour bleeding or shrinkage.
When the instructions on care labels is followed and the process causes damage, we will not be in a position to accept liability for such damage. The damages are caused primarily due to inferior items such as lining, buttons, zips, etc... used in the manufacturing process. However, we will provide you with the backup to resolve the matter with the manufacturer or retailer.
Our 30 Day Guarantee
Stitch Express guarantees quality workmanship. Should a mistake occur, we will fix the alteration right away at no additional charge.
If the alteration cannot be fixed, the garments will be reimbursed as per the price paid on original receipt. In the absence of an original receipt, fees will be reimbursed to a fair, mutually agreed to value.
All items must be returned within 30 days, unused, unopened, and with original receipt.
Non Collection of Items
All services are to be paid for prior to alteration or dry cleaning being completed.
Alterations will only be performed on clean or dry cleaned garments, (Health & Safety Regulations).
